09.00 - 16.00 Focus Day A: Developing Geospatial Capability

This practical and in-depth focus day will explore many of the implications of developing geospatial capability. Through practical case studies and detailed presentations, delegates will drill down into the multitude of issues related to developing, owning and operating an intelligence system.

Throughout the day, a focus on standards and interoperability will ensure that you take away the practical knowledge needed to enhance your organisation’s geospatial systems and contribute to developing the region’s geospatial infrastructure.

Post-Conference Focus Day: Wednesday 13th May 2009

09.00 - 16.00 Focus Day B: Enhancing Regional Intelligence Infrastructure

Geospatial Intelligence is increasingly important in supporting regional security and military operations. This dedicated focus day will allow delegates involved in planning, policy and strategy direct access to a panel of experienced geospatial experts to distil the information covered during the conference and maximise the value to regional organisations.

Key topics for discussion will include:

  • Defining the capabilities required
  • Evaluating the infrastructure, systems and hardware required
  • Investigating the budgets and costs involved
  • Assessing the personnel and training requirements
  • Designing a road-map to enhance current capabilities and enable future development

The post-conference focus day will feature closed-door sessions to allow delegates the opportunity to discuss their most pressing issues in complete confidence.
